Keynote Speakers

Wanda Pratt

Wanda Pratt, mother of Anthony and Kevin Durant, became a teenage mother at the age of 18. She married Anthony’s father and then gave birth to Kevin at age 21. Shortly thereafter, she became a single mother. Making a pact with God to dedicate her heart to raising her children, Wanda knew He would walk beside them. She used organized sports with her sons to help instill biblical, emotional, and social values she believed valuable to rearing children.

After retiring from the US Postal Service in 2008, she became overwhelmed with a long ignored inner desire to find her life purpose beyond being a mother. She now travels the country speaking to children and teens on the importance of having a positive attitude toward their future, and sharing her experiences with single mothers and women.
